Faults can occur on telephone lines at any time and if you call your provider (who will use BT Openreach), they will visit you and if the fault is your telephone equipment or cabling you maybe charged a call out fee of up to £190.00. They may even disconnect your phone extensions and you will then have to get an engineer out again to fix the fault!
